    About Polonnaruwa Ancient City

    Polonnaruwa is the second most ancient of Sri Lanka's kingdoms, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. This ancient city was the capital of Sri Lanka from the 11th to 13th centuries and contains well-preserved ruins of ancient temples, palaces, and other structures.
